What is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan?

After 1 year of full-time employment and 1000 hours our employees are automatically enrolled in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.  No paperwork is necessary. The semi-annual entry dates are January 1st and July 1st.

ESOP stands for “Employee Stock Ownership Plan.” According to the ESOP Association, an ESOP is "an employee benefit plan which allows the employees of a company to become owners of stock in that company”.

Mission is 60% ESOP”, which means that 60% of the company is owned by Mission employees. Vested employees receive a Certificate of Ownership every year around June. The certificate states the number of company stocks and the value of those stocks.

No cost from employees at all. Everyone that qualifies will earn stock.

Employees are part owners of the company. “Mission is 60% ESOP” means that 60% of the company is owned by Mission employees. Employees receive a Certificate of Ownership every year around June. The certificate states the number of company stocks and the value of those stocks.

The number of stocks depends on each employee’s salary. The higher the salary the more stocks the employee receives a year.

The value is the price of each stock. The value of the stock varies every year and it depends on how well the company did the year before. The value of the stock determines the worth of the company and it is determined by an independent company. The value of the stock will increase or decrease depending on how well or poorly our company performs on growth and profits.

¿Qué significa que la compañía pertenece a los empleados?
